Our guest speaker will be Joan Stanescu. Joan is currently the Visiting Scholar and Lab Manager in Lehigh’s Nano Human Interfaces (NHI) Presidential Initiative.
Joan and NHI student team members will share their experience developing XR content. This includes apps, such as the HoloMicroscope for the Microsoft Hololens 2, along with apps for the Apple Vision Pro, Adobe Aero and other platforms that improve the human-machine interface.
The NHI Initiative revolutionizes the way in which research is conceptualized and accomplished by building a highly-visible technical infrastructure leveraging Lehigh's intrinsic strengths in nanoscale interfacial science and materials characterization with Lehigh’s emerging strengths in data analytics, bioengineering, health, and educational innovation. From the start of the Initiative, the interdisciplinary NHI research team has realized that there is a growing need to integrate social sciences and engineering in order to better provide future makers with the necessary tools to accelerate scientific discovery and better educate the future workforce.
If you've never been to one of our meet-ups before, it's a great way to make connections with other Lehigh folks with similar interests in XR and immersive learning.
Refreshments will be provided, so please RSVP by Tuesday, March 17. The LETs Lab is accessible via the FM Library breezeway and is located next to the Digital Media Lab, across from The Grind.
ALL are invited - students, faculty, and staff! We hope to see you there!
