About this Event
This student event, made possible with funding from the Structural Engineering Institute, is targeted for ASCE students from Lehigh, Lafayette, and Kings College. The target audience for this event is for students nearing graduation: juniors, seniors, grad students -- and really, any student who is planning ahead and thinking of a career in structural engineering.
Lehigh Valley Section ASCE Members will be hosting 5 young engineers to act as guest speakers on a panel offering guidance on topics like: starting to build a professional network, interviewing and negotiating a job offer, “what I wish I had known at my first job out of college” (getting along with the boss – getting along with HR – getting along with co-workers – getting along with clients), “learn from my mistakes” (common missteps and how to avoid them).
Panelists will additionally be available to make connections on Linked-In or offer additional guidance after the event – network-building!
There will also be dinner available for all participants who attend. Make sure you come with questions!!!
