About this Event
Please join the Office of Research and Graduate Studies and the Mellon Humanities Lab for an interdisciplinary panel discussion on the topic of resiliency on Wednesday October 14 at noon. Colleagues from Art, Architecture, and Design, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Modern Languages and Literatures, and Chemistry will offer brief observations on how their intellectual work engages with challenges, opportunities, and questions related to resiliency. These short interventions will be a jumping off point for an open conversation between panelists and audience members. We will allow plenty of time for informal dialogue that may engender future research and/or teaching collaborations.
Panelists:
Elizabeth Young, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry
Lucy Gans, Professor and Louis & Jane Weinstock ’36 Chair of Art and Architecture
Shalinee Kishore, Iacocca Chair and Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Associate Director, I-CPIE
Nobuko Yamasaki, Assistant Professor, Modern Languages & Literatures, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Film and Documentary Studies
