About this Event
1 W Packer Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18015
We continue our focus on LGBTQIA+ History Month with the screening of this 1990 film and invite the campus community to join us. It's a great way to end your work week, great film and great conversation.
This documentary focuses on drag queens living in New York City and their "house" culture, which provides a sense of community and support for the often socially shunned performers. Groups from each house compete in elaborate balls that take cues from the world of fashion. Also touching on issues of racism and poverty, the film features interviews with a number of renowned performers, including Willi Ninja, Pepper LaBeija and Dorian Corey.
