The Mid-Autumn Moon festival is one of the most prominent events in Asian culture. Every year, it is celebrated by billions of people in dozens of countries. One of the iconic events is the lantern festival during which families gather together and light up the night with bright paper lanterns. Our goal with this event is to bring that spirit of family and friendship to the Lehigh community. We hope that the interactive nature of the event will really give a greater sense and appreciation for South East Asian culture. Students will also be able to keep their lanterns after the event as a momento reminding them the night is not always so dark and solemn.
