About this Event
One Love Africa is a cultural night that the African Student Association hosts to celebrate and showcase African culture and the history of the diaspora. It is a way for Africans in the Diaspora to learn the stories, traditions, and practices that are celebrated in the different countries of Africa. Students will be able to use this experience to explore and showcase their history, culture, and identity. The cultural night will consist of traditional and modern African dances, performances, an art gallery, dining, and a fashion show. This event also allows for both Africans and non-identifying Africans a greater community to be immersed in the richness of African culture.
Throughout the evening, the members and E-board of ASA interact with one another and learn about each other’s backgrounds and customs. The evening will include a variety show, where students can sign up to perform songs, dances, or skits. The dining will consist of various African traditional food and drinks. The whole school will be encouraged to attend this cultural event. Participants are also encouraged to wear cultural clothing of their choice.
