Lehigh’s XR Community of Practice Presents: VR Passport - A Global Immersive Experience
Part of International Education Week at Lehigh University

Wednesday, November 19th | 4:00PM - 5:00PM | LTS Emerging Technologies (LETs) Lab

Step into the future of global learning at this hands-on event that brings the world to Lehigh with the use of emerging technologies! Put on a Meta Quest VR headset and instantly explore a new culture, travel to any destination on the planet, or practice learning a new language!

What's on the Itinerary?

  • XR in the Classroom: Discover some of the creative ways Extended Reality (XR) has been integrated into classes at Lehigh, demonstrating how these powerful tools are transforming learning across campus.
  • Explore the World in VR: Try the VR app Wooorld to explore 3D renderings of cities, famous landmarks, and natural wonders. You can wander the streets of Paris, hike through Machu Picchu, or stand on the Great Wall of China.
  • Real Language Practice: Test your skills with the immersive language app Mondly VR. Interact with AI-powered virtual characters to practice one of 30 different languages in realistic scenarios and get instant feedback on your pronunciation.
  • Map the Globe with ArcGIS Online: Go beyond the headset! Try out ArcGIS Online, a powerful mapping platform, to create and explore global geographical data, visualizing international trends, history, and culture through interactive maps.

No registration or prior experience is needed. Just bring your sense of adventure to the LTS Emerging Technologies (LETs) Lab (located in the Fairchild-Martindale Library, across from The Grind).
