This Mid-Autumn Festival celebration invites students to enjoy lantern riddles, lantern painting, and live music in an interactive cultural setting. Lanterns with riddles of varying difficulty and themes (idioms, English wordplay, traditional culture) will be displayed on stage. Students submit answers at either six sign-in tables; once a student solves two riddles correctly, they will receive a mooncake. Mooncakes are prepackaged snacks purchased from a local Asian market.
In addition, a lantern painting station will allow students to decorate blank lanterns with markers, creating personalized festival art. The evening will also feature a live band performance, adding music and atmosphere to the cultural experience.The event is from 6pm to 8pm, we are reserving additional hours for setting up and cleaning up.
