Explore the business side of healthcare in an interactive presentation from Sean Cosgrove, Executive Director of Managed Care at Crozer Health. The webinar will address a brief history of contracting relationships between payers and providers, and delve into the challenges and opportunities of modern contractual relationships and their ability to support our transition to a value-based payment and operational healthcare system.

About the Speakers:

Sean CosgroveSean Cosgrove is a service driven professional with over ten years of progressive leadership experience in commercial, Medicaid and Medicare contract negotiations, contract management, expansion go-to strategy, risk and value-based contracting, process improvement and program management. Cosgrove is currently the executive director of managed care operations at Crozer Health where he is responsible for the oversight of fee-for-service and value-based contracting, as well as the implementation and oversight of managed care contracts. He is also accountable for developing, leading, and augmenting payer partnerships. Prior to joining Crozer Health, he worked for Cigna Medicare, where he oversaw market contracting for Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., and led Cigna’s Medicare expansion into the Southern New Jersey market. Cosgrove is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives where he co-chairs the Community Service Committee.

Anna KatzAnna Katz ’19 ’22G currently works at Crozer Health, a four-hospital health system based in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, as a financial analyst with a focus on population health. She works closely with Crozer’s value-based reimbursement programs, tracking both the financial components and quality metrics involved in care management.

Katz began her professional career with Lehigh’s Healthcare Alliance (HCA) in the fall of 2020. She was excited to meet fellow alumni with diverse industry experience who shared the same passion for connecting current Lehigh students with alumni. Katz serves on the HCA leadership team as the events co-chair to promote engagement through networking, webinars, workshops, and happy hours.

During her undergraduate experience at Lehigh, Katz participated in the ROTC program. She is now a first lieutenant in the Army Reserve Medical Service Corps. Her undergraduate degree from Lehigh is a B.S. in bioengineering, and she is currently pursuing her master’s in Healthcare Systems Engineering, expecting to graduate in May 2022.
