Please join us for a Health Research Roundtable presentation and discussion with Dr. Michael Gusmano, PhD. Dr. Gusmano is a Professor in the Lehigh University College of Health. His talk is titled, “Findings from the World Cities Project: An Overview.” World cities have a great deal in common, but they exist within different national health systems that influence health and access to health care services. In this talk, I will share findings from the World Cities Project about inequalities in health and health care among some of the largest cities in wealthy and middle-income countries. We will examine city and neighborhood level differences in mortality amenable to medical care, hospitalizations for ambulatory care sensitive conditions, and the use of revascularization among patients with heart disease. This is a hybrid event and registration is not required. Please bring your lunch.
