Please join us for a Health Research Roundtable discussion with Dr. Aimin Chen, MD, PhD. Dr. Chen is Professor of Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Fetal and child brain development is susceptible to toxicants ranging from metals to organic pollutants. This seminar will provide a summary of research activities in environmental epidemiology to examine polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and child cognitive function and behavior. Ongoing research to study organophosphate esters as replace replacement flame retardants and chemical mixtures will also be discussed. Registration is not required. Please bring your lunch and light refreshments will be available.
