About this Event
Please join us on Tuesday, March 18, at 12:00 PM for the second Health Research Roundtable of the Spring 2025 semester! This session will explore Disability and Urban Living: Discovering the Impacts of Lehigh Valley's Built Environment on Disability Health, Social Life, and Wellbeing.
You’re invited to participate in person (HST 140) or via Zoom.
This session will feature Dr. Austin Duncan from the College of Health and his team members from the College of Arts and Sciences—Dr. Christina Zhang (Architecture) and Dr. Jiin Jung (Psychology). They will share their interdisciplinary research on how urban life affects the social experiences of disabled individuals, combining community-based participatory research (CBPR) and computational social science.
We will also open a discussion on the application of CBPR and how the team plans to use their findings to advocate for policy changes and physical interventions to enhance the well-being of disabled individuals across the Lehigh Valley.
