About this Event
111 Research Dr., Bethlehem, PA 18015
We cordially invite you to Light on the Mountaintop, a biweekly seminar series on optical imaging techniques and applications in science, engineering, and medicine.
This week, Light on the Mountaintop Seminar Series presents a lecture titled “Germ cells are different! Cell type-specific plasticity in cytokinesis and metabolic regulators” by Julie Canman, Associate Professor, Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), New York, NY.
The Canman lab is interested in understanding the mechanisms that underlie cell type-specific plasticity in cell division and other cellular functions. Their research combines genetics with light microscopy and has recently focused on cell type-specific regulation of germ precursor cells during early embryogenesis in the model nematode system C. elegans.
No RSVP required. Transportation and parking tips can be found HERE. Email jul724@lehigh.edu to receive a Zoom link.
