Research Talk, “ Supporting Independence of Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder through the Health Care System." 

The candidate will present their approach to developing and validating the Health-Related Independence Measure using mixed methods to engage stakeholders from self-advocate, caregiving, and health care provider communities.  She will then describe the utilization of this data to improve health care delivery and provider education, advocate for systematic changes, and secure future funding.
