ABSTRACT: The power generation industry has intersected with two transformative forces: artificial intelligence and climate change. As the global demand for clean, reliable energy accelerates, AI data centers and electric vehicles are rewriting the growth forecasts of electric utilities. Paul Browning, a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience in the power generation and energy transition industries, will explore how exponential growth in data centers, electric vehicles, and renewable energy is reshaping the energy sector.
Key topics include:

• The challenge of forecasting exponential growth in a power generation context.
• The challenges and opportunities of managing under-forecasted demand from AI data centers, factories and EV adoption.
• How exponential trends in renewables and energy storage costs are redefining the economics of power generation.
• How global geopolitics are responding to these powerful intersections.

Paul will share insights from his leadership roles at General Electric, Mitsubishi Power, and his work in venture capital, offering a thought-provoking look at the opportunities and challenges facing business leaders in this rapidly evolving landscape. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how to navigate and capitalize on these powerful trends shaping the energy industry and the global economy.
