Dana will tell us about the Tennessee Valley Authority, the services they provide, their generation mix, and how power generation organizations have had to pivot over the years as environmental regulations and public opinion have changed.
She will discuss her background and experiences as a woman in the power generation industry and how she has had to pivot to adjust to challenges and opportunities over her career.
She will also share her passion for inclusion and employee engagement and showing up as our true self while "Daring to Lead" whether we are in a formal or informal leadership role.
Bio: Ms. White has been with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) since 2005 in various roles, including the operation and maintenance of nuclear, coal, gas, and hydro generation facilities, as well as fleet support roles in corporate safety, business planning, engineering, and technology. Before joining TVA, she worked for Southern Company for 16 years at Farley Nuclear Plant where she held a Senior Reactor Operators License from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama.
As the General Manager of Field Services, she is responsible for overseeing work management, outage planning and execution, technology support, and key business processes for TVA’s coal, gas, and hydro fleet. Dana is passionate about leadership and employee development and is currently involved with an initiative offering Dare to Lead Workshops to improve employee engagement and further inclusion with diversity at TVA.
