Please join us for our upcoming Economics Department Seminar Series Event on Friday, October 2nd from 3:10-4:30 PM EDT.  Dr. Pablo G. Bortz of the National University of San Martin in Argentina will present his paper "Climate Change and Green Finance in Emerging Market Economies:  The Open Economy Dimension" (brief discussion and Q&A to follow). 


Dr. Pablo G. Bortz obtained his Ph.D. at the Delft University of Technology.  He is the author of Inequality, Growth, and ‘Hot’ Money (Edward Elgar).  He is currently Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of San Martín, Argentina and he's also researcher at the National Scientific Council CONICET and professor at the National University of the West.  He worked at the Argentine Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs, and the Central Bank, and was Economic Affairs Associate at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
