Title: Fully Autonomous Object Transportation: Innovations in Aerial Multi-Robot Systems Using Cable Mechanisms
Abstract: From ancient times, humans have used cables and ropes for tying, carrying, and manipulating objects by forming knots. Recently, the use of cables for aerial manipulation and transportation has been shown to be a lightweight and versatile method for interacting with objects. However, securing objects using aerial robots with cables remains a challenge, often requiring human intervention. This talk explores the advanced integration of cable mechanisms in aerial robots for transportation purposes, focusing on enhancing object manipulation and transportation capabilities using new aerial platforms, control systems, and collaborative platforms equipped with flexible and non-stretchable cables.
