Creating Immersive Learning Experiences Using Uptale

Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00am to 12:00pm

EWFM, 520

Immersive Learning is an experiential methodology that utilizes Virtual Reality (VR) to teach and train in a safe and engaging immersive environment by simulating real-world locations and scenarios. It combines the sense of presence of VR with data science and spatial design to improve retention and student engagement. Uptale is a web based authoring platform for creating your own custom immersive - and interactive - learning experiences. It requires no coding background and utilizes 360 video and imagery, along with a simple drag-and-drop approach, to make building VR experiences easy. Uptale is available to all Lehigh users, so even your students can learn, build, and share. In this hands-on workshop, learn how to get started with Uptale to start your journey with immersive learning. You'll also be able to test and explore what you've built using a VR headset.

Please use the registration link to RSVP in advance so that we can ensure that your own Uptale account is provisioned for you. Come with your own laptop (or just follow along!)
