Civic Engagement Day

Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 9:00am to 6:00pm

Tamerler Courtyard (Rauch Tent Area)

Civic Engagement Day (11/2) is a collection of civic based discussions to go in conjunction with efforts to encourage students to vote. There will be two locations for events, Rauch/Tamerler courtyard and Farrington Square. The events will run from 10am to ~5pm.

Farrington Square - Tabling / Food / Voting Directions
Farrington Square will be home to a portion of the days festivities. It will be a stopping location for students aiming to go to the Bethlehem locations to vote. Student will be able to get free food/beverages and participate in some voting trivia.

Rauch Building (RB 151 and RB 184) and Rauch Courtyard and Rauch Tent
The Rauch area, including the LUAG (we are in communication), will be the home to the more discussion and debate based events for Civic Engagement Day. The courtyard will be utilized for an outdoor speed dating / conversation event on political discussions. The Rauch classrooms will be used for debates and lectures. The Rauch tent will be used for giving away food and as a home for more of the logistics.

The education/discussion based events for the day will have separate EPF submissions, but the topics will range from Schools Boards, to Jail, to using your voice.

This event is being planned in conjunction with Student Senate, the CSO, and the Student Engagement Office. Will help from LUAG and Lehigh communications. Additional student groups will cosponsor / cohost individual events for the day.

Hosted by: Community Service Office, Lehigh University Art Galleries, Office of Student Engagement, Student Senate XXXIV
