Over the course of one week in spring, we'll be hiding thousands of eggs over campus. When people find the eggs, they take the code that's inside the egg and enter it into my website. After we validate the code, the egg count for the person is increased. That egg count is then displayed on a leaderboard for all logged in users to see. Whoever the top 10 people are win a monetary prize corresponding to their position on the leaderboard. The overall winner will get a big trophy to signify their victory.
